The blog deals mostly with alternative music from the 1980s and 1990s, much of it Irish and much of it long lost. And with good reason.
Colm works in television and spent many years writing about music for a variety of different outlets. Several of those pieces will be re-posted here, due to unpopular public demand. He will also contribute some new pieces from time to time, most of which will reference The Trash Can Sinatras, Serengeti Long Walk, E.L.O., The Frank And Walters and Into Paradise.
Martin is a librarian based in Cork, from where he pulls all of this together and tries to make some sort of sense of the raw material. He attended the infamous Sultans of Ping F.C. show in his native Limerick and lived to recount the tale. More recently – but no less dangerously – he was one of the trio behind the Sir Henry’s Exhibition in U.C.C..
